The smile on your face was gone when you started

All your innocence was stolen when they shaved your head

Your blood’s rushing to your head, rushing to your head, rushing to your head

And you want to go home. But you can’t go home, not yet.

Because there’s no way that they’re human,

There’s no way that they’re human,

There’s no way that they’re human, and they need to be stopped.

Oh stopped.

Oh stop!

Because there’s no way that they’re human,

There’s no way that they’re human,

There’s no way that they’re human, in this land of sand and dust!

Oh in this land of bombs and grenades, that light us up....

Oh, they light us up, just like Christmas trees...

Going through a woodchipper...

We’re all goin’: Buzz-buzz-buzz-bing! Buzz-buzz-buzz-bing! Ka Chika-chika-BANG!

But we’re fighting for your flag, fighting for your flag, fighting for your flag

So give us some respect, give us some respect, give us some respect...

It pays for our AK47s, AK47s, AK47s

So we need your respect, need your respect, need your respect

Help a brotha’ out, help a brotha’ out, help a brotha’ out

So give us your money, give us all your money, give us all your money!

So we can go home. Why can’t we go home? Why can’t we go home?

I want to go home...

''All your innocence was stolen when your head was shaved'' this is my favorite line. If you haven't read any of Wilfred Owen's poetry then you should. He writes a lot about how young men would rush into battle in the hope of being heroes but would quickly realize the harsh brutality of war and ultimately curse their childish decisions. If I were to make one suggestion I'd change it to ''All your innocence was stolen when they shaved your head'' because the ''they'' implies blame rests in the hands of those who made war seem like a noble and heroic endeavour- you know, the way the media and the army only portray soldiers as brave, noble heroes basking in the glory of war rather than the reality of them being poor young men who have no other place in society and don't realize how barbaric and gruesome war really is- and who wind up being killed or mutilated. Basically the ''they'' is the same people who have ruled over soldiers for thousands of years with the use of fear and propaganda. But that's just my suggestion. If it doesn't fit with what you were trying to write about that's cool. Great song either way :)
